Went to the Renaissance Faire in NY with Theresa this weekend and then went to her house and played DDR/watched Sin City, where the typical awkwardness and angstiness ensued. As already said, ren faire was awesome. Saw jousting(Maid Marian won) and a Robin Hood scene thingie(the actor who played Little John was hysteical!), went to a workshop on medicinal herbs done by a woman who bitched about antidepressants(does anyone else think that bitching about how antidepressants are bad and how you shouldn't take them seem like they have no concept of mental illness and depression/bipolarness and therefore should keep their mouths shut? They always say how they feel blue too, but it passes; that's like briefly glimpsing the abyss in the corner of your eye instead of having it stare you down at every waking moment.), but she was otherwise pretty nice and taught me how to make tinctures(alcoholic distillations of herbs). Lastly, I bought a pair of spiked bracers, which I admit were a waste of money at $85 dollars but they're so fucking cool(wearing aforementioned bracers while typing this entry, hence any bad typos). All in all, was a blast and can't wait to go back.
