I had a bipolar day. First, I was happy because I stayed home today since it was the last day of the quarter and I had few absences and nothing important to do in school. Then, I went outside to get the mail around 1 and I got rejected from Williams and I was distraught, not because I really wanted to get into Williams, which was a negligible factor. The thing was that I'd already received two other rejections from Swarthmore and Harvard and I now only had three more chances of getting into a college. Then, a few hours later, the woman who lives in the apartment directly above tells my mom that there's some mail under the mailbox. She goes out and walks in telling me I got accepted to Wesleyan. Same as the previous two rejections made the Williams rejection worse, the three previous rejections made getting into Wesleyan seem all the better. Yes, I felt like I had the most severe documented case of bipolarity.
